PA Direct Appeal 2021-2022

Direct Appeal is a Parents Association fundraising campaign to solicit financial support directly from RKA families for our school and its programs.  The money raised supplements the funding provided by the Department of Education (DOE) for RKA's entire 6-12 programs.

Here are some examples of how the money has been used in and around the classrooms:

• ARTS ENRICHMENT AND CULTURAL OPPORTUNITIES

  • Tickets to Hello, Dolly!

  • Tickets to September 11th Memorial

  • Professional swing/hip hop dance instructor 

 

• CLASSROOM ENRICHMENT                         

  • Earth Science Regents review books; Kids Discover collection

  • Circle Master compasses for in-class geometry use 

  • Technology to facilitate the use of media in classrooms

  • Subscription to Pear Deck (interactive presentation tool used to actively engage students in individual and social learning)

 

• SUPPLEMENTAL SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES

  • Art library resources; lectern for in-class presentations; camera equipment

  • Resources to assist students in developing life skills and coping strategies

  • Cathedral of St. John the Divine geometry program (intersection of geometry and architecture)
